Cleveland Browns receiver Jordan Cameron believes it's been the scrutiny of opposing defenses and not the issues with the quarterback Jason Campbell that has slowed him down over the last few weeks according to May Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

"I need to get things moving faster and I need to find a method to be open",'' said Cameron. "I must work hard to get in there and perform better. I need to take on the role of a player and do everything I can to assist this team. That's my goal."

The third-year WR was having an excellent season in 2013 but has seen his production decline significantly over the past two weeks. The team's new quarterback Jason Campbell targeting Cameron just 18 times over the past three games. Cameron has 45 catches that totaled 515 yards and scored six touchdowns over the first seven games of the season, has just seven catches and 33 yards in the two games that he has played.

Cameron, who had been emerging as a big-play threat for the offensively-challenged Browns this season, says that defenses are rolling coverage his way and are now limiting his effectiveness downfield. The rookie receiver believes that it's his responsibility to work harder to beat the coverage and that he's not too concerned about the chemistry he has with his starting quarterback.

"I do not think that it's Jason not at all Cameron said. Cameron declared. "They're getting you stuck at the first level, and then someone hitting you at the second level, which means it's simply a harder chemistry between the route. The timing of the route is slightly off.''
